Michael Wolf – Architecture of Density
Dizzying large scale images from German Photographer Michael Wolf. These beautifully abstracted photographs are from Michael Wolf’s series ‘Architecture of Density’ a depiction of the mass housing blocks in Hong Kong (one of the most densely populated metropolitan areas in the world) where he was based for 10 years.
“In Architecture of Density, his vision has evolved to evaluate the high-rises that shape the spatial experience of Hong Kong’s citizens. Wolf finds in each building a singular character, despite its functional purpose and massive form.” San Francisco Chronicle
Some of Michael’s photographs were short listed for the third cycle of the ’Prix Pictet’ entitled ’Growth‘. I did a post about it back in January, you can find it here. The ‘Growth’ exhibition was on show at the Gallery of Photography, Dublin.
